The assignment

Eneco developed a product for large industrials to lower the energy consumption and improve the amount of renewable energy versus energy produced with fossile fuels. Part of the product was a monitor for customers to see their daily power consumption and have insight in what part of that power consumption is generated with renewable assets and what part is produced by conventional units.

Approach

To be able to monitor the consumption, hourly data was gathered in a database. And a monitor was applied.

Combining all the flows and related calculationsdelivered a monitor that is currently used by clients to monitor renewable energy consumption on a hourly and daily basis:
